The magazine comprehensively reports and comments on major achievements and events throughout the art world, particularly in painting, sculpture, photography and graphic design. An impressive 550 illustrations-200 in full color-illustrate her themes. Both middle schools and high schools compete in many different events (different for each level), competing against the other schools, which come from the fifty states are members; the largest delegations are generally Oklahoma, Virginia, Georgia, and sometimes Florida. Although painting and sculpture are central in her narrative, Chu also covers a broad scope of visual culture, including architecture, decorative arts, and the burgeoning fields of photography and graphic design.
